Hi, I'm Lisa...
A 23 year-old artist from northern Germany with a passion for oil painting.
I grew up in idyllic Lübeck, right on the Baltic Sea. During my school days, I had the opportunity to get a taste of the exhibition scene in several galleries in Lübeck. I've been painting ever since I was old enough to hold a paintbrush. I haven't stopped since. Now I’m studying for a master's degree in art at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel.
For the past 10 years, my artistic focus has been on my favorite medium, oil paint. It gives me the creaminess and intensity I need to lend my paintings a sense of elegance and intimacy. I love to draw viewers closer to me in an intimate way through my art and bring them closer than they think. In doing so, I play with openings, holes, human flesh, skin and details that are overlooked in everyday life. The extreme zooms draw viewers in and suck them into the openings I have created.
I like to describe my particular use of color as hyperchromatic or abstract-realistic. Colors that are too intense give the painting a realistic impression through their velvety interplay. Through my painting, I convince you that what you see as abstract is in fact realistic.
Einblick Ausblick 2025 - Muthesius Kunsthochschule, Kiel
In our annual exhibition at art university I showed my most recent oilpainting "Gewebe" 60 x 80 cm, Oil on Canvas in an installation with a movie. In the movie the filmed net moved slowly into a new position. The lines of the net just touch the painted parts of the canvas.

My conceptional small-sized oilpaintings where part of an exhibition which was all about flesh and skin. The perfect topic for my "Skinnie Minis" 10 x 10 cm, Oil on Canvas. The concept of these pieces includes 16 small paintings, that you can puzzle together to one motive. Throughout the installation the motive get's splitted into pieces, which streches the painted skin into invisibility.

In an exhibition from art university about the inbetween of reality and fiction my oilpainting "Uterus" 1,30 x 1,30 m, oil on canvas, was a perfect adding to this topic. The abstract way of using colours in a realistic painted flesh-environment was very fitting to the intertwining fiction and reality. I took part in currating an organization of this exhibition and had such a pleasure doing so.
Einblick Ausblick 2022 - Muthesius Kunsthochschule, Kiel
During the annual exhibition from the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel I showed my skin-paintings for the first time. I started this series by focusing on folded outer skin of myself. For this I filmed my naked body with a camera and painted parts of it. This was the first time I got exited about viewers seeing more of my body than they would know by just looking at the paintings.
